I started my career as a graphic designer and spent many years in a photography studio printing and retouching photographs. Later, I transitioned to roles as an art director and creative director in corporate America. After nearly 25 years, I retired from corporate life, eager to again pursue my passion for drawing and painting.
I’ve dabbled in watercolor, acrylic, graphite and pen and ink, and I still use acrylics today, primarily for underpainting. However, I believe I’ve found my true calling in oil painting,
I consider myself an amateur because I keep learning with every drawing, with every painting. My style is semi-realistic focusing on images with strong contrasts and personal significance. I typcally work from my own photographs and I tend to lean towards images with dramatic skies.
